In Norman, mobile home demolition often follows a storm or a land sale. We take the whole unit down, remove the frame and undercarriage, and haul everything off so the lot is clear for what’s next. Properties on the east side of town and out toward Lake Thunderbird can have longer drives and soft ground, so we look at access before we quote. Utility disconnection is arranged by the owner, and permit requirements are something we’ll walk you through.
When we arrive, the crew sets up based on what we saw at the site visit, including where our trucks can park without rutting up a soft yard after a rain. We take down the walls and roof, remove the flooring and undercarriage, and cut the steel frame into pieces we can haul. Loose debris gets raked up as we go. For storm damaged units, we work carefully around any sections that have shifted or collapsed so nobody gets hurt.
To keep things moving, have the utilities shut off and the unit’s title or ownership paperwork handy in case the permit office asks. If insurance is involved, let us know where your claim stands so demolition lines up with the adjuster’s timeline. Pricing depends on the size of the home, whether it’s damaged and how far off the road it sits. Once the lot is clear, you can move forward with a new home, a sale or simply open space.
Certain materials like asbestos, lead paint and other hazardous substances require special handling before demolition can begin. See our full list of prohibited materials or give us a call if you’re not sure about something.
